Help us REHOME The Bell

This town was founded as the Rod & Reel Club of Glendale, a sort of summer cabin getaway. As the area grew into a town, the City of Glendale’s Fire Department gifted Frazier Park with a fire bell for its volunteer fire department in 1932. When the County
Fire House was built in 1952, the 400 lb. bell was relocated to the belfry of the only church in town (currently the Reflexion 47 Church), where it sits to this day. If you’ve lived in Frazier awhile you’ve probably heard it, but never seen it.

Our curator, Bonnie Kane, has long had the dream of relocating the bell to the museum grounds and building it a structure for all to see. The Museum has recently received permission from the church to take the bell for this exhibit if it is replaced with a similar bell. So the Museum is looking for funds and volunteers to help make this happen. We need to and a replacement bell. We need a construction company that is up to the task of taking down the old bell, putting the replacement bell into the belfry and repairing the belfry, as well as building a structure at the museum to house the old bell. The Museum is working on a grant for the project, but will undoubtedly need more.
